Summer 2019 recipe round up
7 recipes to try this month.
One of my favorite things about being in the Hamptons is spending time with friends and family. In the city, everyone has such hectic schedules. Days in the Hamptons are relaxed, and I love nothing more than hosting big, BBQ lunches filled with healthy, delicious food and bottles upon bottles of rosé. If you watch my IG Lives, you can see I have spent much of my time out East in the kitchen, alongside Sean and Marleny, whipping up new #FFACTORAPPROVED recipes. The most fun part has been serving them to our guests and watching them enjoy every bite and go back for seconds. Here are the most popular F-Factor Recipes and my favorite things to serve of summer 2019. – Tanya Zuckerbrot, MS, RD, CEO & Founder
MINIATURE 20/20 CHEDDAR BISCUITS – The original recipe makes 6 biscuits, but I started serving miniature versions of them as an hors d’oeuvre (same recipe, just divide batter into 30 biscuits). This made each biscuit under 50 calories, with 2g fiber and just 1g net carb. We served them warm right out of the oven. EVERYONE gobbled them up. HUGE hit.
F-FACTOR HOISON BAKED WINGS – These wings are a crowd favorite! Men, women, kids, no one can not resist these sticky, sweet and savory wings.
F-FACTOR 20/20 CAESAR SALAD – Finally a Caesar salad that is healthy! The dressing is made with all the traditional Caesar ingredients PLUS the Unflavored 20/20. It’s low in fat and high in fiber and protein. If you haven’t made it yet, do it today!
F-FACTOR CHINESE CHICKEN SALAD – The abundance of farm-to-table produce in the Hamptons makes this salad a summer favorite. Serve it with the F-Factor 20/20 Creamy Ginger Dressing and you won’t believe how fast it goes. This is a salad kids love too. The recipe here includes chicken, but you can prepare without and serve with proteins (described below) so that guests can choose their own.
JUMBO GRILLED SHRIMP & SESAME CRUSTED AHI TUNA – Both shrimps and Ahi Tuna are lean proteins and pair perfectly with Caesar Salad or Chinese Chicken Salad. For the best quality seafood, DM @marksqualitymeats. He will deliver it fresh to your doorstep. For an easy, flavorful way to prepare shrimp for grilling, click here.
SUGAR SNAP PEA SALAD – This salad is perfect for those who don’t cook. It’s just three ingredients and it doesn’t require turning on the stove. This salad tastes even better the second day when it has had time to marinate. So if you have leftovers, the next day you’ll love it even more. Don’t have snap peas? You can make it with cucumbers or cabbage too.
CREAMY BROCCOLI CAULIFLOWER 20/20 PESTO “RISOTTO” – This dish has been a HUGE hit with the entire family. It’s warm, creamy, cheesy and has no carbs or added fat. It tastes so decadent, yet it’s actually super light, not to mention loaded with fiber and protein too. This is absolutely a dish I will be making all year round. You can eat an entire bowl as an entree or serve it as a side dish to accompany meat or fish.
As Labor Day approaches and summer winds down, I hope you all get the chance to spend quality time with those you love the most. And if you really love them, make the the F-Factor 20/20 Cheddar Biscuits 😉 Happy summer, Everyone!
