We’ve all heard the USDA recommendation to ‘make half your grains whole,’ but that can be tricky when the words ‘WHOLE GRAINS’ are screaming at you from practically every box in the grocery store, even the most sugar-filled sugar cereal! But, this is a head-to-head competition, and one brand must reign supreme. Which is the better choice? Ladies and gentleman, your winner is: Kashi! Van’s may claim 1 extra whole grain in their title but the bottom line is, Kashi has 1g more fiber, 1g more protein, with less carbs, fat and calories. Teeny-tiny differences but hey people, these things add up. Moral of this story: keep a close eye on nutrition labels.
